Second Annual Sonny Sixkiller Husky Celebrity Golf Classic, July 27, 2012

Sonny Sixkiller played only 28 football games for the University of Washington, but they were enough to stamp him as the most iconic figure in the 121-year history of the program.
Sonny will hold his second annual Husky Celebrity Golf Classic at the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe’s Cedars at Dungeness Golf Course on Friday, July 27, 2012. This year we will honor the 1960 and 1961 Rose Bowl teams including quarterback Bob Schloredt and running back Don McKeta at a lavish, spirited dinner and auction to be held at Seven Cedars Casino on Thursday, July 26th. We will welcome back Bruce King, longtime sportscaster with
KOMO sports as one of our evening’s MCs.
This year we have expanded our playing teams to a total of 36 sponsorship opportunities which will sell out quickly. Last year, over $85,000 was raised to benefit the Olympic Medical Center Foundation.
Sonny Sixkiller has partnered with the Seven Cedars Casino for the past 10 years.
“I have always wanted to set up a tournament to showcase the legacy of University of Washington sports, especially football,” said Sixkiller. “I am extremely pleased to be able to work with the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe once again and am happy that it will benefit the Olympic Medical Center Foundation.” A Who’s Who of over 36 Husky legends will play in the tournament, including former coaches Jim Lambright, Bob Schloredt and Don James, players Steve Emtman, Michael Jackson,
Marques Tuiasosopo and Jason Chorak, as well as Scott Jones, the only Port Angeles High School graduate to play in the NFL, and Joel Thomas, the former PA star who is now the running back’s coach at the UW.
Please contact Bruce Skinner at 360-808-3204 regarding sponsorship openings.
