Hollywood Nights 2010

The Olympic Medical Center Foundation's Second Annual "Hollywood Nights" was held at the Vern Burton Community Center on Sunday, March 7, again generously presented by First Federal. This event celebrates the Academy Awards while raising money for vital equipment and programs for six Olympic Medical Center departments.

We enjoyed a phenomenal buffet dinner, prepared by Kevin Parker and his chefs, appetizers and desserts prepared and served by the wonderful students at the Port Angeles Skills Center, and the luscious chocolate fountain provided by An Elegant Touch Chocolate Fountains. The venue was fabulously decorated by William Melville, who also put his creative decorating touch on the extensive silent auction tables. Wonderful items, trips and dinners were auctioned in a live auction during the telecast and the attendees had a wonderful time guessing the winners in our ballot contest, playing our Sherlock Holmes Trivia Contest and trying to win the great raffle prize of a trip to New York for a taping of the Regis & Kelly show.

The Guest of Honor this year was Lynda Day George, best known for her role on Television's Mission Impossible. Her warmth and graciousness set the tone for the evening as she and other "celebrities" arrived by limousine and classic cars to walk down the red carpet.
