2008 Winemakers Gala – A Night in Tuscany

The Sixth Annual Harvest of Hope, Winemakers Gala, generously presented once again by the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the Sunland Golf & Country Club in Sequim. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Thomas Family Cancer Center at Olympic Medical Center..

Steve Little, owner of the Dockside Grill on Sequim Bay will be this year’s guest chef. Steve is highly respected locally and is the previous owner of Xanadu and was head chef at the Old Mill Café in Sequim. 

In addition to the fabulous five course dinner, prepared by Doug Seaver and his remarkable staff from the Cedar Creek Cuisine restaurant in Sequim, guests will enjoy wines poured from our featured winery, Barnard Griffin.

Founded in 1983 by Rob Griffin and Deborah Barnard, Barnard Griffin Winery has been producing award winning wines for over 30 years. Located in south-central Washington at the confluence of the Yakima, Columbia and Snake rivers, Barnard Griffin is the largest family owned winery in Washington State. They recently took home 3 gold medals at the 2008 San Francisco Chronicle Wine competition.

Guests will have the opportunity throughout the evening to support this worthwhile cause through a live auction and many raffles. The highlight of the live auction will be a fabulous trip to Tuscany, featuring journeys to amazing wineries, olive oil producers and stunning historical locations.
